Whitney Houston Cause Of Death Revealed

Singer Whitney Houston died from drowning and heart disease, and signs of cocaine use were found, a coroner in Los Angeles has ruled. The announcement ends weeks of speculation about what killed the Grammy-winning singer on February 11.

Houston was found submerged in the bathtub of her room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on the eve of the Grammy Awards. Several bottles of prescription medications were found in her hotel room, but coroner's officials said they weren't in excessive quantities. Coroner's spokesman Craig Harvey says cocaine metabolites were found in Houston's system, and it was listed as a contributing factor in her death. He says the results indicated Houston was a chronic cocaine user.

Madonna - MDNA - Review

Madonna opens up to reveal inner pain and turmoil on her new album, but the dance groove never slows. Vulnerability isn't likely the first trait that comes to mind when you think of Madonna. The woman who titled her last studio album Hard Candy (2008) is contemporary pop's most durable alpha female, coolly courting fascination and controversy on her own terms.

Yet in some of her most beguiling songs, Madonna has opened her heart and let her defenses down a bit. Think of the pregnant teenager in 'Papa Don't Preach', begging for support even as she declares her resolve. Or the giddy lover pledging eternal devotion in 'Cherish'. Then imagine that those gals had lived a few more years, maybe married and divorced, and you'll have an inkling of the emotional wallop waiting in Madonna's most personal effort to date, MDNA, out Monday.

The album opens with single 'Girl Gone Wild', a breathless ode to dance-floor hedonism. "Girls, they just wanna have some fun," Madonna chirps over a thumping club groove. Several tunes share an almost defiant buoyancy; I'm Addicted and Turn Up the Radio celebrate romantic surrender, but there's a sense that what's being sought more is escape.

The standard and deluxe explicit versions of MDNA offer an early hint that we're headed for darker terrain. The second track, the pulsing, sardonic 'Gang Bang', describes not an orgy but a revenge fantasy, in which a woman shoots and kills a wayward and possibly abusive partner. Chanting profanely, Madonna could either be mocking a persecutor or turning the tables on him.

Anger isn't this album's defining quality, though. The songs that seem to allude to Madonna's ex, Guy Ritchie, are charged with sadness and self-doubt. 'Love Spent' is the most stinging: "Would you have married me if I were poor?" she asks, after a bluegrass-tinged intro segues into a radiant electro-pop arrangement.

Spent is one of numerous tracks co-written and co-produced by Madonna's 'Ray of Light' and 'Beautiful Stranger' collaborator William Orbit, whose sonic savvy is just as keen here. 'I'm A Sinner' has a groovy ebullience reminiscent of the latter hit, even as the lyrics again evoke a woman racing past pain. On the gorgeously ethereal 'Falling Free', Madonna sings of finding both grace and alienation in love.

But MDNA is no self-pity party. There's wry humor and unabashed yearning; check out the semi-confessional multi-tasker's lament 'I Don't Give A' co-written and featuring a rap by Nicki Minaj. And Madonna emerges, as always, a survivor. "Nothing's indestructible," she admits on the Latin-kissed 'Masterpiece', but still vows, "I will not renounce all hope." And why should she, of all people?

Madonna - GHV3

With the release of MDNA, I though I would put together an album of the latest hits. After the Immaculate Collection came GHV2 and then Celebration but no GHV3 so I thought I would make one.

Justin Bieber - Boyfriend - Lyrics

If I was your boyfriend, I'd never let you go
I can take you places you ain't never been before
Baby take a chance or you'll never ever know
I got money in my hands that I'd really like to blow
Swag swag swag, on you
Chillin by the fire why we eatin' fondue
I dunno about me but I know about you
So say hello to falsetto in three two
I’d like to be everything you want
Hey girl, let me talk to you

If I was your boyfriend, never let you go
Keep you on my arm girl, you'd never be alone
I can be a gentleman, anything you want
If I was your boyfriend, I'd never let you go, I'd never let you go

Tell me what you like yeah tell me what you don't
I could be your Buzz Lightyear fly across the globe
I don't never wanna fight yeah, you already know
I am ‘ma a make you shine bright like you’re laying in the snow
Burr
Girlfriend, girlfriend, you could be my girlfriend
You could be my girlfriend until the world ends
Make you dance do a spin and a twirl and
Voice goin crazy on this hook like a whirl wind
Swaggie
I’d like to be everything you want
Hey girl, let me talk to you

If I was your boyfriend, never let you go
Keep you on my arm girl you’d never be alone
I can be a gentleman, anything you want
If I was your boyfriend, I'd never let you go, I'd never let you go

So give me a chance, 'cause you're all I need girl
Spend a week wit your boy I'll be calling you my girlfriend
If I was your man, I’d never leave you girl
I just want to love you, and treat you right

If I was your boyfriend, never let you go
Keep you on my arm girl you’d never be alone
I can be a gentleman, anything you want
If I was your boyfriend, I'd never let you go, never let you go

Na na na, na na na, na na na
Ya girl
Na na na, na na na, na na na ey
Na na na, na na na, na na na ey
Na na na, na na na, na na na ey

If I was your boyfriend

Ricky Gervais's Derek To Pilot Next Month

The new show Derek will see Gervais play retirement home worker Derek Noakes, opposite longtime collaborator Karl Pilkington. But although the show had been tipped as a series, a BAFTA screening for set for March 27 lists it as a "one off comedy drama".

However, Channel 4 have commented: "Channel 4 is very excited to be working with Ricky Gervais on this new project and it's wrong to say we have rejected a series. The pilot will be on TV in April and then there'll be further discussions about the potential for a full series."

The BAFTA listing describes Noakes as "a tender, innocent man whose love for his job and the people he cares for shines through. He's 49 years old and loves animals, Rolf Harris, Jesus, Deal Or No Deal, Million Pound Drop and Britain's Got Talent - but his main hobby is autograph hunting.”

Pikington will play Noakes' employer Dougie, in what will be his first acting role, with Sean Connery reported to appear in the first episode. Gervais' character first appeared in a short at the 2001 Edinburgh Festival, when he was an aspiring stand-up living with his grandmother.

George Michael Announces Reschedualed Symphonica Tour

George Michael will return to the stage later this year following his battle for life with pneumonia. The star had to cancel almost a third of his tour last year after being admitted to hospital in Vienna but is now to give 1,000 tickets for a forthcoming concert date to medical staff who helped him. The cancelled UK dates have now been rescheduled for September and October as he resumes his Symphonica live shows.

After arriving back in London in December, the singer called his hospital spell as "the worst month of my life" and said it had been "touch and go" whether he would recover. He was in intensive care and also underwent a tracheotomy which made it difficult for him to speak after he was discharged from the Austrian capital's AKH hospital. But today he was said to be "back in good health and fighting fit" as revised dates were announced. They include a new show in Vienna for which he will give away a number of tickets to show his gratitude. He said: "I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you first to the doctors and nurses who saved my life and took such great care of me, and to all my fans, family and friends for their love and support. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone."

His new dates include a postponed Royal Albert Hall show which had been due to take place in May. He will also play Holland and France, including the Palais Garnier Opera House in Paris, making him the first pop act to play the venue. His first UK date will be at Birmingham's LG Arena on September 16, moving on to Manchester, Glasgow, Sheffield, Newcastle, Cardiff, Liverpool and London. He winds up his UK shows with three concerts at Earls Court.

I know Erika can sing but theres something that just doesn't let me gel with her performances. Again she gave a brilliant performance but I find her voice flat when it shouldn't be. The break didn't have the effect it was suposed to have either, but thats another one of Jimmy's crap decisions.

Ricky Gervais Launches Cruelty Free International

There is no worldwide ban on animal testing for cosmetics. Despite progress with some countries and companies, over 80% of the world still allows animals, including rabbits and guinea pigs, to be used in cruel experiments. In a global market it is important that all countries ban the practice to avoid testing simply moving around the world to those countries with no effective laws.

One Direction Congratulated By Justin Bieber And Katy Perry

Katy Perry and Justin Bieber have congratulated One Direction on their Stateside success, after their debut album Up All Night hit No.1 on US iTunes. 1D have managed to secure the top spot with the deluxe version of their LP, while the regular edition of the record is sitting pretty at No.2.

The boys took to Twitter to thank their fans, with Zayn writing on his official page: "Just wna say a massive thankyou to every1 over here I america that’s bought the album so far its looking promising ! Xx Oh and our canadian fans and all of our fans ! Love you all!! (sic)". Harry tweeted: "Thanks to everyone who’s bought the album so far…You’re all sick!! Thank you .x"

His bandmate Louis added: "So happy to see how well the album is doing :) Thank you to EVERYONE who has bought the album whatever country you bought it in :)". Niall Horan then took to the social-networking site to write: "thank you everyone who has bought Up All Night so far , ur amazing. (sic)". His tweet then got a reaction from Katy Perry - who was a guest judge on The X Factor in Ireland when Horan went through to boot camp - with the Firework singer tweeting: "congratulations, you didn't let me down! xo". Niall replied: "hey katy, thank you, let's hope it holds out this week! Thank you for putting me thru! we've been working hard,I won't let you down. (sic)"

Fellow teen superstar Justin Bieber also tweeted: "congrats to my dudes @onedirection for the #1 album on itunes and @thewantedmusic for the #2 on singles. We share the same queen. #Canadian". The 'Baby' singer also responded to Niall's tweet, posting: "good guys always win bro. congrats" to which Niall replied: "thanks a lot dude, much appreciated and yeh you're right!"

In other One Direction news, the lads are said to be 'furious' with fellow UK boyband The Wanted after member Max George appeared to bad-mouth 1D, apparently calling them "children's magazine based." A source told Heat magazine: "They're angry about The Wanted slagging them off. They think it's a low blow and they were shocked that Max would say that."

Jermaine Jones Disqualified From American Idol

American Idol semifinalist Jermaine Jones is getting the boot from the show, and it’s not because America didn't vote for him.

The 25-year-old vocal instructor from Pine Hill, N.J., tweeted Tuesday night that he would no longer be appearing on the hit singing competition. "Awww I will no longer b on the show," he wrote on his official "Idol" account. The tweet, as well as the account, were quickly and unsurprisingly deleted.

According to the gossip website TMZ, Jones got the boot after producers discovered that the hopeful had been arrested twice and that he still had a number of outstanding warrants. One of the alleged incidents was reportedly of a violent nature, with Jones allegedly getting into a fight at a New Jersey hotel; according to TMZ, he allegedly gave false names to the police on both accounts.

Criminal history aside, Jones had already courted controversy when his father countered his claim that Jones had been abandoned by him a decade ago. His father said that not only had they maintained regular contact but that he was at an “Idol” taping to support him.
Dubbed the "gentle giant" by "Idol" host Ryan Seacrest because of his towering stature, Jones was among the bottom three contestants last week after performing Stevie Wonder's "Knocks Me Off My Feet," but advanced to the top 12. Obviously, the show will find a dramatic way to play out his exit on Wednesday’s live show.

Jones certainly isn’t the first (and we doubt the last) contestant to get the boot because of his or her past. During Season 2, Corey Clark was disqualified for concealing an arrest record, and Frenchie Davis also got dumped from the show due to topless photos on an adult website. Davis is undoubtedly the most famous of the shunned contestants; she went on to Broadway and last year came in second place on Christina Aguilera’s team on “The Voice.”

Other contestants have gotten disqualified because they've failed to reveal previous recording or management contracts.

A Fox spokeswoman said the network would have no comment.

Planetside 2 - Gameplay Trailers

Planetside 2 is an upcoming video game published by Sony Online Entertainment. The game is a sequel to Planetside originally released in 2003. The game was officially announced on July 7, 2011 at the Sony Fan Fair. As in the first Planetside, Planetside 2 chronicles the efforts of three factions as they fight for territorial control of the planet Auraxis.

Planetside 2 will be a re-imagining of Planetside, featuring the same world, factions and taking place at roughly the same time period. As in the previous game, Planetside 2 will feature territory control in an open-world, large battles featuring hundreds of players on foot or land/air vehicles. The territory system is more complex than in the original PlanetSide, and will play a bigger part in shaping the battlefield. SOE has been working on balance issues from the first game. Matt Higby, the creative director, has stated "We're definitely going to be rewarding combatants on lower population empires through mechanics such as proportionally increased advancement rates and resources and we'll be attempting to balance the overall empire saturation on each server as much as we can without force-restricting folks from being able to play with their friends."

Kylie Minogue - The Anti-Tour

Pop superstar Kylie Minogue has announced the first concert dates of her upcoming intimate Anti tour, celebrating the diva's 25th year in the business. She'll play the Palace Theater in Melbourne, Australia on March 18 and then the Big Top at Luna Park in Sydney on March 20. Both venues have a capacity of about 2,000. It's expected that further dates of the tour will be announced soon, which may include a visit to the U.S. later this year.

The trek is aimed squarely at Minogue's very devoted fans, as the show will focus on rarities, b-sides and demo recordings. "(The) Anti tour is something I'm very keen on. I think it's an interesting concept," she told Sky News in Sydney last weekend. "That's something that's really just for super fans. There's not going to be hit songs in that show, but it's a good balance to something like (the) Aphrodite (tour)."

The 2011 Aphrodite trek was an eye-popping, hits-filled global tour that played 77 shows on five continents. The bulk of the shows included 200 costumes, 30 water fountains, 10 dancers and eight acrobats. Minogue also told Sky News that she's "already started work on the new album," which should be released later this year. The set will follow 2010's "Aphrodite," which debuted and peaked at No. 19 on the Billboard 200 chart and reached No. 1 in the U.K.

The pop star's first single, "The Locomotion," was released in her native homeland of Australia, 25 years ago in 1987. In her quarter-century career, she has issued 11 studio albums and more than 50 singles.

Well Written Songs: My Love

My Love
Written by Lionel Richie, 1983

I've been through so many changes in my life woman
It's a wonder I ain't lost my mind
And I ain't never said how much I need you sugar
But I sho' need you by my side

My love, just thinking about you baby
Just blows my mind
My love, just thinking about you baby
Just blows my mind all the time

Life with me I know for sure it ain't been easy
But you stayed with me anyway
And even though you ain't gonna lose too much by leaving
I'm so glad you stayed

My love, just thinking about you baby
Just blows my mind
My love, just thinking about you baby
Just blows my mind all the time

You've been my friend and you've been my lover, oh Lord
Honey you're everything I need
You've made my love so strong now I know where I belong
Oh girl you'll never have to worry
Oh baby any more, any more

'My Love' is the title of a 1983 hit song by the American R&B/pop music singer-songwriter Lionel Richie. It was the third single released off Richie's self-titled debut solo album. The song features harmony backing vocals by country music singer Kenny Rogers. It reached the Top 10 on three notable Billboard magazine charts in the spring of 1983: on the pop chart, the song peaked at # 5; on the adult contemporary chart, the song spent four weeks at # 1; and on the R&B chart, the song topped out at # 6. 'My Love' was not among Richie's more successful singles in the United Kingdom, where it managed # 70 on the UK Singles Chart. However the song is a favourite amoung fans and has recently been re-recorded for Richie's country album 'Tuskegee' and has been performed live at some of his recent concerts.

George Michael & Adele Duet

George Michael wants to record a duet with Adele, according to reports. The Mirror claims that Michael, who presented the '21' songstress with her Brit Award for Mastercard British Album Of The Year earlier this month, is working on a new album and is eager to work with the Tottenham soul singer.

With the former Wham! man now recovering after his battle with pneumonia at the end of last year, a source said 'George is working on his album for the first time since his life-threatening illness and he's in great shape. It is no secret that he adores Adele.' They went on to add: "He even left his boyfriend Fadi Fawaz in Australia for three days while he flew in to present Adele with her Brit. Adele has been an admirer of George's tunes for as long as she can remember, and was so touched that George presented her [with her] Brit Award."

Michael was admitted to Vienna's AKH hospital in Austria last November, after ill health forced him to cancel a gig in the Austrian capital. He also later had to shelve all of his remaining tour dates for 2011 and reschedule them for this year. He was released from hospital in December last year, and subsequently revealed that his condition had been "touch and go" and that the doctors in Austria had spent three weeks keeping him alive.

Earlier this week, meanwhile, it was confirmed that sales of Adele's album '21' had overtaken Michael Jackson's seminal LP 'Bad' in the UK and she is now the owner of the eighth biggest selling album of all time in the UK, with sales of 4.02 million. She is also fast closing in on Dire Straits' 'Brothers In Arms' and Pink Floyd's 'The Dark Side Of The Moon', which are the sixth and seventh biggest sellers of all-time in the UK. To leapfrog both albums, '21' only needs to shift another 150,000 copies. Adele recently stated that she will be heading into the studio to begin work on the follow-up to '21' in the coming weeks.

Meat Loaf Taken Ill Before TV Appearence

Meat Loaf had to pull out of a live TV show, just moments after viewers saw him messing around for the cameras. The Bat Out Of Hell singer - currently promoting his latest release - was seen balancing a banana on his head as he awaited his slot on ITV1's Loose Women. But later in the show, presenter Andrea McLean had to explain to viewers that he was no longer able to appear. She said: "I'm afraid that Meat Loaf has taken unwell so he's unable to join us for the end of the show."

A spokeswoman for the show was unable to give details of his condition. Meat Loaf's representatives later said the singer was resting and was expected to quickly return to good health. A statement issued on the US star's behalf said: "He's got a mild case of the flu and has been advised by doctors to rest after a gruelling international schedule promoting Hell In A Handbasket. "Meat is expected to make a quick, full recovery."

It is not the first time the American has been taken ill during a public appearance. Last year, he collapsed during a concert and, when collecting a prize at the Q Awards in London in 2009, he appeared disoriented, which was later put down to an attack of vertigo.

Rihanna Pays £15,000 For Haircut

Rihanna has reportedly paid £15,000 for an emergency haircut after hers was ruined in a sauna. The 'We Found Love' singer - who recently changed her red locks to blonde - apparently flew her stylist first class to London from Los Angeles to fix her matted tresses. According to The Sun newspaper, the 24-year-old star had been for a swim at her hotel and used its steam room and sauna before disaster struck.

A source said: 'When she got out, her hair was tangled and matted. She slapped a load of conditioner on but it didn't get through the mass.' With a TV appearance on 'The Jonathan Ross Show' scheduled for the next day, Rihanna decided that stylist Ursula Stephen was the only woman for the job. The insider added: 'She didn't want to take the chance on an unknown. 'Because they were on such a tight schedule, they had to get her on the first flight. Rihanna didn't care about paying a fortune.'

She was pictured yesterday in London wearing a black cap in an apparent bid to hide the disaster. The source explained: 'Rihanna shoved a hat on to go to the studios. She was fine when she knew Ursula was on her way.'

Zayn Malik Pulls Out Of US One Direction Tour

Zayn Malik has been forced to pull out of One Direction's North America tour with Big Time Rush following the sudden death of his aunt. Zayn Malik has pulled out of One Direction's North America tour following the sudden death of his aunt. The teen heartthrob immediately travelled back to the UK yesterday to be with his family after hearing the news and he will miss some dates on the tour - where the group are supporting boyband Big Time Rush - in order to attend her funeral.

Zayn's bandmate Harry Styles wrote on twitter: "Zayn has suffered a loss in his family & has had to go home for a few days so won't be at our next shows in the US... "Our thoughts are with him and his family at this sad time."

The three other band members Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Liam Payne all retweeted the message. Fans quickly started tweeting about the singer with the trending topic #StayStrongZayn created in his honor. Although he didn't reference the death directly on his twitter page, Zayn did retweet a message from a fan which read: "God has no Phone, but I talk to him. He has no Facebook, but he is still my friend. He does not have a twitter, but I still follow him.
