Well Written Songs: The Story

The Story
Written by Phil Hanseroth

All of these lines across my face
Tell you the story of who I am
So many stories of where I've been
And how I got to where I am
But these stories don't mean anything
When you've got no one to tell them to
It's true...I was made for you

I climbed across the mountain tops
Swam all across the ocean blue
I crossed all the lines and I broke all the rules
But baby I broke them all for you
Because even when I was flat broke
You made me feel like a million bucks
You do
I was made for you

You see the smile that's on my mouth
It's hiding the words that don't come out
And all of my friends who think that I'm blessed
They don't know my head is a mess
No, they don't know who I really am
And they don't know what
I've been through like you do
And I was made for you...

All of these lines across my face
Tell you the story of who I am
So many stories of where I've been
And how I got to where I am
But these stories don't mean anything
When you've got no one to tell them to
It's true...I was made for you

'The Story' is a song written by Phil Hanseroth in 2007 for singer Brandi Carlile.

Here are all 3 Lady Gaga promo's for this years VMA's which air 28th August.

Artists Confirmed For Michael Jackson Tribute Concert

Several artists have been confirmed for the new upcoming Michael Jackson tribute concert set to take place in Cardiff. Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, JLS, Smokey Robinson, Leona Lewis and Craig David to name a few. Alongside those will also be a 3T and Jackson 5 reunion... well... a Jackson 4 reunion I suppose. Come on, is that really a good idea? Four 50+ year olds singing songs that where hits for them 40 years ago. And lets not forget the main man, who was the real star of the Jackson 5, wont be present, so whats the point? Oh yeah, more money!

As much as I was looking forward to the idea of a tribute concert I was looking for names such as Lionel Richie, Janet Jackson, Celine Dion, Usher and Stevie Wonder. People who have all worked with Michael and have stories to share. But JLS, Cee Lo Green and Craig David? Why? Time will tell if any more decent acts are added to the list but so far it looks set to be a wash out purely for the benefit of making yet more money out of Michael's name.

Will Young - Jealousy - Radio 2 Performance

Here is Will Youngs truly fucking amazing version of his new hit single 'Jealousy'. Its much darker than the single version but it just sounds brilliant. Recorded live for Radio 2 this week.

Will Young - Running Up That Hill

Will Young covered a Kate Bush classic this week on Radio 2. Here is his performance of 'Running Up That Hill'.

Lady Gaga - You And I - Music Video

Here is the official Lady Gaga music video for 'You And I'.

Desperate Housewives - Season 8 Is The End

It has been confirmed that season 8 of Desperate Housewives will be the last. I really don't want the show to end as it is still one of the best shows on TV after years of brilliant storylines. Here are some of the best moments from the early years.

Lady Antebellum - Just A Kiss - Music Video

Lady Antebellums new music video for the amazing single 'Just A Kiss' has finally been made avaliable in the UK, here is the video.

Lady Gaga - Yoü And I Video Stills Leak

2 Photos from Lady Gaga's new music video for Yoü And I have leaked. One of Lady Gaga as a mermaid, which maybe explains her performance at the Monster Hall in Sydney and another of her as her male alter-ego Jo Calderone, which also explains the single cover. The video premieres on Thursday this week and will be on this site within minutes of its release.

Jennifer Hudson - I Remember Me

Here are the two music videos ('Where You At' and 'No One Gonna Love You') from Jennifer Hudon's latest album 'I Remember Me'. There is also a live performance of the title track from Letterman.

We Are The World 25

Here is the 25 anniversary video for the hit song 'We Are The World'. Recorded on February 1st, 2010, in the same studio as the original 25 years earlier (Henson Recording Studios, formerly A&M Recording Studios) "We Are The World 25 For Haiti", in which Jones and Richie serve as executive producers and producers.

The song features some of the worlds biggest starts in music featuring original writter of the song Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Barbra Streisand, Toni Braxton, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Nicole Scherzinger, Akon, Usher, Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson, Enrique Iglesias, Pink, Adam Levine, Fergie, Will.I.Am, Kanye West and Mary J Blige.

Frankmusik - No I.D

There isn't the most amazing of lyrics in this song but there is something about it that I really like. The song features Colette Carr and is an upbeat track with a very catchy chorus, but be warned it will be stuck in your head all day. It is from the forthcoming album 'Do It In The AM'.

Beyonce - 4 Intimate Nights In The Roseland Ballroom Concert

Beyonce kicked of her 4 nights in The Roseland Ballroom in New York last night with a very bizarre choice, but good set list. She performed everything from her new album '4' in order that it appears on the album after performing a small selection of her biggest hits. She started where she started, with a Destiny's Child medley and then going into some of her back catalogue of hits such as 'Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)', 'Crazy In Love' and 'Irreplaceable'. There was no sight of some of her biggest hits like 'Deja Vu', 'Sweet Dreams' or 'Halo', but it gave her the chance to focus on everything from the new '4' album, which after hearing the hits over and over, the fans are more than ready for. Here is the full set list.

1. I Wanna Be Where You Are (Michael Jackson Cover)
2. Destiny's Child Medley
1. No, No, No (Part 1 & 2)
2. Bills, Bills, Bills

Well Written Songs: That's All

That's All
Bob Haymes, Alan E. Brandt, 1952

I can only give you love that lasts forever
And a promise to be near each time you call
And the only heart I own
For you and you alone

That's all
That's all

I can only give you country walks in springtime
And a hand to hold when leaves begin to fall
And a love whose burning light
Will warm the winter's night

That's all
That's all

There are those I am sure who have told you
They would give you the world for a toy
All I have are these arms to enfold you
And a love even time can't destroy

If you're wondering what I'm asking in return, dear
You'll be glad to know that my demands are small
Say it's me that you'll adore
For now and evermore

That's all
That's all
