Underrated Singers: David Jordan

David Jordan is an amazing singer/songwritter who made an amazing album in 2007 called 'Set The Mood'. Influenced by artists such as Michael Jackson, Prince, Lenny Kravitz and Marvin Gaye, he has a classic Soul, Pop and Rock vibe to his music that plays out like Jazz.

His first album was a success along with the lead single 'Place In My Heart' and 'Sun Goes Down'.

Unfortunatley he is not heard of today. It seems as though he is one of the amazing artists who release one masterpiece and are never heard of again. Hopefully there will be a new album at some point because his music is timeless and flawless.

Big Brother Returns

Big Brother returns this year for a brand new celebrity special series, this time on channel 5. Now hosted by Big Brother 2 winner Brian Dowling, the show promises to be bigger and better than ever. I hope it is and hope that it goes back to being a house full of people who are doing it for the experience and not just so they can be on TV for a few weeks. There will also be a spin off show simular to that of Big Brother's Little Brother, this time called Big Brothers Bit On The Side. Lets hope theres no repeat of fight night, faking pregnancies in the hot tub and lets hope Kinga doesn't pop in for a bottle of wine, especially as it is in HD for the first time. Will Young - We Are The Champions

Here is a rare performance from The Queen's Jubilee back in 2002 of Will Young singing Queens 'We Are The Champions'. There is not many people that could cover this song due to having to have an amazing voice to be able to sing it. Will was given this song last minute and he completely owned it. Easily one of the only people who can sing a Queen song and make it better than the original, second to only George Michael who sang 'Somebody To Love' at the Freddy tribute concert back in 1992. Little side note as well, there is another Queen's Jubilee on 2nd - 5th June 2012. I smell a bank holiday and maybe another music event. Here is Will's performance.

Amy Winehouse Dies Aged 27

Amy Winehouse has been found dead at her home in London, it has been reported.

The Back To Black singer was apparently found at the property in by emergency services at 3.54pm this afternoon, according to sources, and her death is being treated as 'unexplained' by police.

In a statement, the Metropolitan Police said: 'Police were called by London Ambulance Service to an address in Camden Square NW1 shortly before 16.05hrs today, Saturday 23 July, following reports of a woman found deceased.

'On arrival officers found the body of a 27-year-old female who was pronounced dead at the scene.

'Enquiries continue into the circumstances of the death. At this early stage it is being treated as unexplained.’

It is very sad and a loss of an amazing talent. On the last look her album 'Back To Black' made its way to number 1 on the album iTunes chart. Her debut album 'Frank' made its way to number 3. Here are some of her highlights.

Resident Evil Retribution

A fifth film in the Resident Evil franchise has been confirmed, scheduled for release on September 14, 2012. Milla Jovovich has been confirmed and Sienna Guillory will reprise her role as Jill Valentine. In an interview, director Paul W. Anderson expressed interest in including Leon Scott Kennedy in future films if Afterlife succeeded. In a interview with Game Informer Milla Jovovich thinks that the new film will be titled Resident Evil: Retribution, but it hasn't been confirmed.

In May of 2011, it was reported that a 6th film was potentially on the cards, pending the success of the 5th, with many of the cast being offered multi-movie deals. Ali Larter, who plays Claire Redfield and Wentworth Miller, who plays Chris Redfield have not been confirmed yet but considering the end of the last film it would be safe to say they will be returning for the new film.

Ricky Gervais - Afterlife

It was revealed earlier in the week that Ricky Gervais and Clyde Phillips, best known for his work on the hit TV series Dexter, are to write and produce a TV series named 'Afterlife'. Early reports stated that Ricky is set to have a cameo in the series, however he has since revealed that he will be playing none other than the big man himself.

Ricky Gervais, well known for his outspoken atheism, will be taking on the role of God in the new TV show. 2009's The Invention of Lying touched on the subject of religion and was subsequently met with much criticism from religious groups. However, Gervais has stated that this is not an "atheist comedy".

Prince - Lovesexy World Tour 1988

Although the tour was a huge success in terms of audience numbers,(Most of the shows were sellouts.) it lost money due to high production costs; Prince used elaborate props on stage such as a basketball hoop, a fountain, trellis fences and a fully working Ford Thunderbird automobile.

The two-hour shows included most songs from Lovesexy, alongside hits and rarer material. In usual Prince fashion, many shows saw the premiere of new songs, particularly 'Blues in C (If I Had a Harem)'.

Thematically, the show was divided into two main acts. Act One, which ran for an hour, consisted mainly of older material from Prince's earlier albums, often strung together into medley form to ease time constraints. The show often began with 'Escape' before segueing into 'Erotic City' and concluded with 'Anna Stesia'.

Act Two consisted largely of songs from the 'Lovesexy' album, plus classic hits like 'Kiss' and towards the end of the concert, 'Let's Go Crazy', 'Purple Rain', and '1999'. The highlight of many shows was the piano medley in the second act, often featuring 'When 2 R in Love', 'Venus de Milo', 'Starfish and Coffee', 'Raspberry Beret' and 'Condition of the Heart'. Easily one of my favourite concerts ever.

Simon's Cat

Simon's Cat is an animated cartoon series by the British animator Simon Tofield featuring a hungry house cat who uses increasingly heavy-handed tactics to get its owner to feed it.

In January 2009, it was announced that Simon's Cat would be published in book format. Canongate released the title on 1 October 2009 in the United Kingdom. It was later released in many other countries.

Additionally there is a Simon's Cat cartoon strip in the Daily Mirror.

Scotty McCreery Music Video Update

Scotty McCreery has filmed a music video for his record-breaking debut single "I Love You This Big". The 2011 winner of "American Idol" has shared the first look at the clip when sitting down with Access Hollywood on the shooting location.

"This is pretty insane," the Mercury Nashville artist said of how he felt about having his first-ever music video. "All the hard work has been put into this and now I'm sitting here doing my first music video. It's just a really cool thing to finally be here."

Talking about what to expect from the clip, he gushed, "This is going to be kind of a nice little chill, summertime barbecue, kind of like a community thing on the Fourth of July. It's just a really fun thing that we're all just kind of chilling - that's the word for this music video - 'chilling'." The music video comes from direction hands of Shane Drake and was shot on location in Los Angeles. It will feature Scotty performing live for a group of people in an intimate show. Since the clip has summer seasonal flavors, it's expected to premiere before fall comes.
