Here is what I would like to see from Rihanna's 'Diamonds World Tour'. Seeing as she didn't tour her 'Talk That Talk' album the set list heavily features tracks from both 'Talk That Talk' and 'Unapologetic'. The set features alot of album tracks and fan favourites in the first half, but featuring only hits in the second.
- Phresh Off The Runway
- Right Now (feat. David Guetta)
- Who's That Chick (feat. David Guetta) (on selected European Dates)
- Numb (feat. Eminem on screen)
- Cockiness (Love It)
- Loveeeee Song (feat. Future & containing excerpt of ‘Push Up On Me’ and ‘Te Amo’)
- S&M (containing excerpts of ‘Jump’)
- Talk That Talk
- What Now
- California King Bed
- Stay
- Where Have You Been
- Medley I
- Only Girl (In The World)
- SOS
- Pon De Replay (containing excerpts of ‘You Da One’ and ‘Who’s That Chick’)
- Nobody’s Business
- Don’t Stop The Music
- Shut Up And Drive
- Hard (containing excerpts of ‘Live Your Life’ and ‘All Of The Lights’)
- Disturbia
- What’s My Name
- Medley II
- Take A Bow
- Hate That I Love You
- Unfaithful
- Take Care
- Love The Way You Lie (Part II)
- Diamonds
- Umbrella
- ENCORE
- Run This Town (Opening & Chorus into ‘We Found Love’)
- We Found Love
is this the real setlist? :)
ReplyDeletethis setlist isnt a good idea, i like most of it except for i wouldve imagined her hopefully touring more of the uncommercial parts of talk that talk and unapologetic. theyre the best songs on both of the cds, such as watch n learn and red lipstick, and jump will most likely be on the setlist seeing as it was used to promote magic mike
ReplyDeleteJump is included as part of S&M :p
ReplyDeleteThis could work... except for the samples. You really have to think out samples, mostly just use songs that are the same tempo as the song you are putting the sample in. Samples of Push Up On Me and Te Amo would never work in Loveeeee Song because they just can't cooperate together. Jump samples in S&M wouldn't work because they aren't very similar songs, S&M is more club and Jump is more dubstep. Samples of You Da One and Who's That Chick wouldn't work because Pon De Replay is a strictly reggae-ish song, let alone the fact that they're all different tempos and different keys. Samples of Live Your Life and All of The Lights MIGHT work in Hard. And lastly, Run This Town transitioning into We Found Love is going from one genre to another with the songs connected. It worked with Umbrella and We Found Love, but it wouldn't really work in this case. It's a great concept, just work at the placement and samples.
ReplyDeleteAlso, switch the spots of Don't Stop The Music and Nobodies Business. It would work out perfectly, especially with samples of Michael Jackson's Wanna Be Startin' Something in Nobodies Business, which is the same song Don't Stop The Music Samples.
ReplyDeleteJust because it says the song includes an excerpt doesnt mean we would hear the full version including instrumentation. Alot of these excerpts are included as a vocal content only. Imagine loveeeeee song but with rihanna softly singing the words to push up on me and te amo as the song breaks down :p and imagine after an encore hearing rihanna acapella just singing out 'we gonna run this town tonight' and then hearing the opening bars of we found love :p
ReplyDeleteI understood exactly what you meant, I'm just saying that it wouldn't work and that it isn't anything Rihanna would do. I tend to remake some of Rihanna's live performances using a music production software on my computer and now what types of samples she would use and what kinds she wouldn't :p just trying to give you a heads up so that you can improve the setlist :p
ReplyDeleteLike I said at the start of the post, this is what I would like to see.
ReplyDeleteI liked this setlist, but I wanted more musics like Drunk On Love, Love Without Tradegy/Mother Mary, Lost In Paradise, Whatch N' Learn... oh shit, and many others!
ReplyDeleteRude boooooooooy :(
