Malcolm, who hailed from Aberdeen in Scotland, was also known for his role as Brad Majors in the original stage production of The Rocky Horror Show at London’s Royal Court Theatre. He later co-produced the 1990 West End revival of Richard O’Brien’s iconic risque musical.

As an actor, Malcolm also took on small roles in films including Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, Labyrinth and Highlander, and made guest appearances on TV shows such as Only Fools And Horses and Lovejoy.

He is survived by his wife, actress Judy Lloyd, and daughter Morgan, who confirmed his passing on Twitter. “Today the world lost a beautiful, brilliant man,” she wrote. “My dad Christopher Malcolm left peacefully and with dignity. He will always be my hero. X”
