Michael Jackson - Xscape - Teaser Trailer

Teaser trailer for the new Michael Jackson album, 'Xscape'.

Michael Jackson Xscape To Be Released In May

Michael Jackson’s second posthumous album is to be released in May.

Titled 'XSCAPE', the album will feature eight previously unreleased tracks which have been freshened up for 2014 by a palette of producers including Timbaland, Rodney Jerkins and Stargate.

The album has been executive produced by Epic Records CEO and former X Factor US judge LA Reid.

A press release on Jackson’s official website explains: “After mining by the Estate of Jackson’s archives, Reid was granted unlimited access to the treasures spanning four decades of material on which Jackson had completed his vocals.

“Reid then teamed up top producers to ‘contemporise’ the songs while retaining Jackson’s essence and integrity, creating the best music you’ve never heard.”

The album’s title track, 'XSCAPE', was written by Jackson and Jerkins, originally for his 2001 'Invincible' album, who has now ‘contemporised’ it for the new release.

The album will be released on May 13 along with a deluxe edition featuring the original versions of the unreleased recordings found in Jackson’s archives. Both the standard and deluxe editions will be available to pre-order on iTunes from tomorrow (April 1).

Jackson’s only previous posthumous album was 2010′s 'Michael', which went platinum in the UK and US.

Gary Barlow - Since I Saw You Last - Music Video

New single from Gary Barlow.

Well Written Songs: Stay With Me

Brilliant song by Sam Smith.

Stay With Me
Written By S. Smith

Guess it's true, I'm not good at a one-night stand
But I still need love cause I'm just a man
These nights never seem to go to plan
I don't want you to leave, will you hold my hand?

Won't you stay with me?
Cause you're all I need
This ain't love it's clear to see
But darling, stay with me

Why am I so emotional?
No it's not a good look, gain self control
And deep down I know this never works
But you can lay with me so it doesn't hurt

Won't you stay with me?
Cause you're all I need
This ain't love it's clear to see
But darling, stay with me

Well Written Songs: Lay Me Down

This is an incredible song, written by Sam Smith.

Lay Me Down
Written By S. Smith, J. Napier & E. Smith

Yes I do, I believe
That one day I will be, where I was
Right there, right next to you
And it's hard, the days just seem so dark
The moon, the stars, are nothing without you
Your touch, your skin, where do I begin?
No words can explain, the way I’m missing you
The night, this emptiness, this hole that I’m inside
These tears, they tell their own story

You told me not to cry when you were gone
But the feeling’s overwhelming, they're much too strong
Can I lay by your side, next to you, you
And make sure you’re alright
I’ll take care of you,
And I don’t want to be here if I can’t be with you tonight

I’m reaching out to you
Can you hear my call? (Who's to say you won't hear me?)
This hurt that I’ve been through
I’m missing you, missing you like crazy

You told me not to cry when you were gone
But the feeling’s overwhelming, they're much too strong
Can I lay by your side, next to you, you
And make sure you’re alright
I’ll take care of you
And I don’t wanna be here if I can’t be with you tonight

Lay me down tonight, lay me by your side
Lay me down tonight, lay me by your side
Can I lay by your side, next to you, you-ou
And make sure you’re alright
I’ll take care of you
And I don’t wanna be here if I can’t be with you tonight

Kate O'Mara Dies Aged 74

Former Dynasty star Kate O'Mara has died at the age of 74, her agent said. The actress was best known for playing Alexis Colby's scheming sister Cassandra ''Caress'' Morrell in the US soap in the mid 1980s, along with roles in British series Doctor Who, Howards' Way and Triangle.
Her agent Phil Belfield said she died on Sunday morning in a Sussex nursing home after a short illness. He said: ''She was extraordinary, she had so much energy and vitality with a love for theatre and acting.'' He added: ''A shining star has gone out and Kate will be dearly missed by all who knew and have worked with her.''
O'Mara's first television roles were in the 1960s. But it was in the 1980s that she landed her biggest and longest-running roles. As well as Dynasty, she starred as a ruthless businesswoman in BBC drama Howards' Way, which was dubbed the ''Dallas of the Seas''. She also appeared in the original run of Doctor Who, opposite both Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy, as renegade Time Lord The Rani. Last year, which was Doctor Who's 50th anniversary, she said she would like to reprise the role. She told the Huffington Post: ''I'd love to come back as The Rani another time around. ''To have a much older woman as your adversary, there's something interesting about that.''

She was devastated last year when her son Dickon Young, 48, was found hanged at their home on New Year's Eve in 2012. Mr Young's body was discovered by a neighbour in the garage of the £750,000 cottage he shared with his mother in the village of Long Marston, Warks. He had moved in with his mother after developing mental health problems following a car crash several years ago. Mr Young was the twice-divorced actress' son by her first husband, actor Jeremy Young.

Following their divorce, O'Mara gave birth to another son but when his father left, she made the decision to have the child adopted. The boy, Chris Linde, contacted her decades later but the pair did not get on.

She married second husband Richard Willis in 1993 but they divorced three years later. In the 1990s she starred in the comedy show Absolutely Fabulous as Jackie, the sister of Joanna Lumley's character Patsy.

More recently she had appeared in ITV soap Benidorm and a 2012 stage adaptation of Agatha Christie's Death On The Nile. She is survived by her sister, the actress Belinda Carroll. Mr Belfield said there would be a private funeral and a memorial service on a date to be confirmed.

Well Written Songs: Cowboys & Angels

'Cowboys and Angels' is a song written and performed by George Michael and released on Epic Records in 1991. Among other things, the song is notable for being written in waltz time.

Cowboys & Angels
Written by G. Michael

When your heart's in someone else's hands
Monkey see and monkey do
Their wish is your command
You're not to blame
Everyone's the same
All you do is love and love is all you do
I should know by now the way I fought for you
You're not to blame
Everyone's the same, oh

I know, you think that you're safe
Harmless deception
That keeps love at bay
It's the ones who resist that we most want to kiss
Wouldn't you say?
Cowboys and angels
They all have the time for you
Why should I imagine
That I'd be a find for you?
Why should I imagine
That I have something to say?

That scar on your face
That beautiful face of yours
In your heart there's a trace
Of someone before

When your heart's in someone else's plans
Things you say and things you do
They don't understand
It's such a shame
Always ends the same
You can call it love but I don't think it's true
You should know by now
I'm not the boy for you
You're not to blame
Always ends the same

I know you think that you're safe
Harmless affection
That keeps things this way
It's the ones who persist for the sake of a kiss
Who will pay?
Cowboys and angels
They all take a shine to you
Why should I imagine
That I was designed for you?
Why should I believe
That you would stay?

That scar on your face
That beautiful face of yours
Don't you think that I know
They've hurt you before?

Take this man to your bed
Maybe his hands will help you forget
Please be stronger than your past
The future may still give you a chance

Lady Gaga - G.U.Y - Music Video

Music video for 'G.U.Y'. I usually like her music videos, but this does feel like a long trailer for her 'ARTPOP' album. Featuring 'ARTPOP', 'Venus' and 'MANiCURE' just makes it feel like she is trying to force as much of her music into one place. They all deserve their own music videos. However, the 'G.U.Y' portion of the video is very good and very 'Gaga'.

George Michael 'My Life Didn't Get Any Easier After I Came Out'

George Michael has said that his “gay life didn’t get easier” after coming out.

The singer was famously outed in 1998 when he was arrested for “engaging in a lewd act” at a public restroom in Los Angeles. He then confirmed his sexuality in an interview with CNN.

Discussing what happened next in a new interview with the BBC, the 50-year-old star says: “For some strange reason, my gay life didn’t get easier when I came out. Quite the opposite happened, really.”

He goes on to explain: “The press seemed to take some delight that I previously had a ‘straight audience’, and set about trying to destroy that. And I think some men were frustrated that their girlfriends wouldn’t let go of the idea that George Michael just hadn’t found the ‘right girl’ [yet]. Which is still what a lot of my extended family still think!”

Continuing, Michael insists he has no regrets about waiting until the age of 35 to be open about his sexuality, saying: “In the years when HIV was a killer, any parent of an openly gay person was terrified. I knew my mother well enough that she would spend every day praying that I didn’t come across that virus. She’d have worried like that.”

During the interview, Michael also expresses a desire to reach out to his gay fans with his music in the future, saying he would “like to do something for the gay community. Possibly a dance album”.

Michael discusses his sexuality candidly in a two-part BBC Radio 2 documentary, titled Up Close with George Michael, whose first part airs tonight (March 18) at 10pm. The concluding part follows a week later on March 25.

The singer released his new album Symphonica, which mainly contains live versions of songs from his 2011-12 concert tour of the same name, on Monday (March 17).
