The award-winning singer is once again joining forces with Alan and Marilyn Bergman, the Oscar-winning lyricists that co-wrote her 1973 hit, 'The Way We Were', and the songs for her 1983 movie, 'Yentl'. The famed artist's new album, 'What Matters Most: Barbra Streisand Sings the Lyrics of Alan and Marilyn Bergman', will be released Aug. 23 by Sony Corp.'s Columbia Records.

All the songs on the new release were co-written by the Bergmans with various musical collaborators. The album features Bergman songs Ms. Streisand hadn't previously recorded, such as 'The Windmills of Your Mind'.

The Bergmans, who married in 1958 and have worked together as songwriters for more than 50 years, say that the idea for a tribute album to their work came from Barbra Streisand, who had recorded many of their songs on previous releases.

Alan Bergman says that Barbra's background as an actor and director helps her "place our songs in a dramatic context". "She finds things in our songs we didn't know are there sometimes", Marilyn Bergman says. The composers say they often write songs with Streisand in mind. "I can hear her in my head when we're working on songs", Marilyn says. "She has an iconic voice."

The deluxe edition of 'What Matters Most' will feature 10 previously released recordings of Barbra Streisand singing songs featuring the Bergmans' lyrics, such as 'You Don't Bring Me Flowers' and 'Papa Can You Hear Me?'

Ryan Dunn, Star Of Jackass, Dies

Ryan Dunn, star of MTV TV and film franchise Jackass, was killed in a car crash early on Monday morning. The 34-year-old and another passenger died at about 2.30am local time when the car the were travelling hit a tree and burst into flames in West Goshen, Pennsylvania, NBC Philadelphia reported. Dunn was identified by his tattoos, according to a witness who was on the scene when the bodies were pulled from the wreckage.

The mother of Dunn's Jackass co-star Bam Margera reportedly called a local radio station to confirm that he was killed in a car accident. Dunn was one of the stars of Jackass, the MTV show in which he and a group including Margera and Johnny Knoxville conducted crude, ridiculous and often dangerous pranks and stunts. Jackass ran for three series on MTV from 2000, followed by three movies and several spin-off shows.

Gay 'Scientific' Study

One study asked heterosexal men how comfortable and anxious they are around gay men. Based on these scores, they then divided these men into two groups: men that are homophobic, and men who are not. These men were then shown three, four-minute videos. One video depicted straight sex, one depicted lesbian sex and one depicted gay male sex. While this was happening, a device was attached to each participant's penis. This device has been found to be triggered by sexual arousal, but not other types of arousal (such as nervousness, or fear - arousal often has a very different meaning in psychology than in popular usage).

When viewing lesbian sex and straight sex, both the homophobic and the non-homophobic men showed increased penis circumference. For gay male sex, however, only the homophobic men showed heightened penis arousal. Heterosexual men with the most anti-gay attitudes, when asked, reported not being sexually aroused by gay male sex videos. But, their penises reported otherwise. Homophobic men were the most sexually aroused by gay male sex acts.

Damages Returns For Season Four

The brilliant show Damages, starring Glenn Close is back for its fourth season, this time on DirectTV instead of its usual home FX. According to USA Today the new season four involves a military style law-suit, 'It's a wrongful-death suit filed against a military contractor over something that happened in a war zone,' says Daniel Zelman the executive producer of Damages. The show resumed production in February, 2011 and casted two season-long guest stars, one a former Navy SEAL who runs the company and is a defendant in the case; the other is a powerful but mysterious character also involved in the crime.

Executive producer Glenn Kessler says DirecTV is 'encouraging us to take things even further than we did on FX,' and the military plotline gives ruthless lawyer Patty Hewes (Glenn Close) a reason to be more authentically potty-mouthed. The budget will be slightly reduced but is being spread across fewer, longer episodes (10 instead of 13 in previous seasons, and an ad-free hour, up from 43 minutes on FX). 'We're not looking to have it picked up and then have it be a minor-league version of the series,' says executive producer Todd Kessler.

The all new season 4 of Damages will premiere 13th July, 2011. Here is the first teaser trailer.

Lady Gaga Performs At Europride

Lady Gaga performed on stage during Roma Europride 2011 at Circo Massimo on Saturday in Rome, Italy. Gaga performed two stripped down versions of her hit songs 'Born This Way' and 'The Edge of Glory' while accompanying herself on the piano.

During the middle of 'The Edge of Glory,' Gaga stood up and took the skirt from her outfit off and draped it across the piano.

'Just a little costume change in the middle never hurt anybody,' Gaga said.
