Damages Returns For Season Four

The brilliant show Damages, starring Glenn Close is back for its fourth season, this time on DirectTV instead of its usual home FX. According to USA Today the new season four involves a military style law-suit, 'It's a wrongful-death suit filed against a military contractor over something that happened in a war zone,' says Daniel Zelman the executive producer of Damages. The show resumed production in February, 2011 and casted two season-long guest stars, one a former Navy SEAL who runs the company and is a defendant in the case; the other is a powerful but mysterious character also involved in the crime.

Executive producer Glenn Kessler says DirecTV is 'encouraging us to take things even further than we did on FX,' and the military plotline gives ruthless lawyer Patty Hewes (Glenn Close) a reason to be more authentically potty-mouthed. The budget will be slightly reduced but is being spread across fewer, longer episodes (10 instead of 13 in previous seasons, and an ad-free hour, up from 43 minutes on FX). 'We're not looking to have it picked up and then have it be a minor-league version of the series,' says executive producer Todd Kessler.

The all new season 4 of Damages will premiere 13th July, 2011. Here is the first teaser trailer.
